When you look up at the night sky on Veyr, it’s easy to be fooled by its quiet, rugged beauty. But beneath the surface, this planet is alive—and it is constantly shifting.
Veyr is a world defined by fire and pressure. It is a place of deep geothermal fractures, unstable mountain slopes, and an interconnected volcanic system that links distant corners of the globe in ways the planet’s inhabitants are only just beginning to understand.
For the people living in the shadow of Mount Ashara, the planet’s volatile nature is simply a fact of life. The ground beneath their feet is a source of incredible, near-limitless energy, but it is also a constant threat. A shift in pressure deep underground can trigger earthquakes miles away, and the ancient lava channels that crisscross the landscape serve as a stark reminder of what the planet is capable of.
The engineers at the Calderon Geothermal Research Station believe they can master this world. They drill deep into the crust, tapping into the planet’s heat, convinced that their models and their protocols can keep the forces of nature at bay.
But on Veyr, the earth does not follow human rules. And when the pressure builds too high, something has to give.
The Ashfall Contingency is coming soon. Stay tuned for more glimpses into the world of Veyr and the people fighting to survive there!
