Who is Talia Renn?

To the administration at the Calderon Geothermal Research Station, the village of Namaru is just a cluster of primitive structures sitting dangerously close to an active geothermal zone. But to Talia Renn, it is home—and she will do whatever it takes to protect it.

Talia is not a scientist, and she certainly isn’t a soldier. She is a farmer and a community leader who knows the terrain of Veyr better than any station map. She knows the seasonal channels, the hidden caves, and the ancient oral histories that speak of what the mountain is truly capable of.

While the researchers inside the station rely on their digital models and pressure sensors, Talia relies on her eyes and her instincts. And right now, her instincts are telling her that the mountain is waking up.

When the station’s “Ashfall Contingency” is finally revealed, Talia is forced to confront a terrifying reality: the emergency plans were never designed to save her people. Armed only with her knowledge of the land and the trust of her village, she must decide whether to wait for a rescue that may never come, or lead her people into the ash herself.

The Ashfall Contingency is coming soon. Stay tuned for more glimpses into the world of Veyr and the people fighting to survive there!
